Benefits
LFSW provides a level of personal service for that is generally not available from traditional financial planning organizations. The staff at LFSW recognizes the long term commitment required to serve the needs of our clients and when asked, to provide valuable advice on important quality of life issues. Working with family members, LFSW will help to determine the most sensible, practical, and economical arrangement for satisfying the client's objectives and plans for family and charitable beneficiaries, while creating a tax savings whenever possible.
It may involve a revised will or suggestions for realignment of insurance policies and their settlement provisions. It may result in the establishment of trusts, a program of gifts or philanthropy or a change in the way jointly-owned assets are held. A client's business interests may also require special attention. Planning for the use or distribution of unusual assets such as death benefits under pension, Individual Retirement Accounts, and profit sharing plans often requires advice honed by many years of experience. LFSW can provide this assistance in cooperation with the client's lawyer, accountant, and other technical advisors. In this process, clients may ask LFSW to assume roles such as executor, trustee, and/or investment manager; in general we become an advocate and financial advisor for the client and his or her family.
